System Configurations Commonly Used at Home
The Power Pak is a robust battery system that can be used in three configurations:
- Use as a “stand-alone” power supply with an inverter
- Use with a DC Power Source as a “Generator”
- Use as an Uninterruptible Power Supply (“U.P.S.”)
Stand-alone mode:
Power Pak is used as the primary Power source. Connection to an appliance is made either directly (DC to DC) or through an Inverter (DC to AC). Recharging is accomplished with any DC recharging source such as a battery charger.
Generator Mode:
Power Pak is used in conjunction with solar/wind generator to provide power through harvesting natural resources. Connection to an appliance is made either directly, through an Inverter, or through a PRO-Verter™. Recharging is accomplished with Solar Power, Wind Power, AC Grid Power, or any other source including Grid power if it is available.
UPS mode:
Power Pak is used with PRO-Verter™ to provide power only during brief grid outages. PRO-Verter™ placed between the Power Pak and the Appliances, with the AC Input connected to Grid Power.
