Blue Sky Energy, Inc. pioneered Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) technology years ago, and this is why we chose their product line to be an integral part of the Solar Stik™ system. Utilizing MPPT, Blue Sky Energy charge controllers allows the Solar Stik™ to operate at rated panel voltage, which is often much higher than battery voltage. The result is an increase in current flow supplied from the Solar Stik™, up to 30% higher than the "industry standard" solar-to-battery connection. In addition, the digital display on the Solar Boost™ charge controls allows the user to monitor solar panel output current and battery system voltage. This display aids in determining the proper inclination of the Solar Stik's™ solar panels when it is connected.
