Power Hub
Power Hub
Pro-Series 12VDC Item # 000807
Mil-Series 24VDC Item # 240037
The Power Hub serves as a collection point for multiple DC Power sources including large solar arrays, wind generators, water generators, fuel cells, and more.
The Hub provides MPPT charge controls for solar arrays up to 1.2 kW in size.
Plug & Play Operation
Setup and Operation is “Plug & Play”. Simply connect the Power Hub between DC Power generating sources and a Battery System (Power Paks) and the Hub will do the rest.
It automatically powers up when connected to a battery, and there are no breakers, switches or complex procedures to follow during operation. The Hub is fully automatic during use.
Environmental Operation
The Hub can be deployed and left to operate in any type of environmental condition. External DC connection points allow the case to be closed during operation, protecting against rain, particulates, and other damaging elements.
Self Contained
A 5’ Inter-Connect cable is included for connection to an Expander Pak or a PRO-Verter™ and stores inside the Hub during transport. If the Power Hub is being used with Solar Stiks™, then Solar Leashes must also be purchased. Solar Leashes are available in 15’, 30’, 50’, or 100’ lengths.
Lightweight & Rugged Design
Weighing just 27 lbs, transport is easy. The Power Hub is constructed into a military-grade Pelican™ 1520 case, and is ruggedized for extreme conditions.
Versatile - “Open Architecture” Design
Designed to last for many years of service under the most demanding conditions, the Power Hub is designed for optimum use with the Solar Stik™ System, however, the Hub can also be used in support of other battery & solar combinations often found in the field.
All Solar Stik™ Components including the Power Hub are D.O.T. certified and approved as non-hazardous cargo for ground, sea and air transport.
They are so safe, they can be checked as airline luggage and flown via commercial airlines.
They are so rugged, they have been known to handle 6-foot drops onto solid concrete!

Operation:
The Power Hub has dedicated Inter-Connector Ports that allow it to be used in a myriad of configurations:
“SOLAR” Inter-Connector Port - single Inter-Connector Port that is dedicated to Photovoltaic input power from a large array such as a PowerFilm Power Shade™
“SOLAR STIK™” Receptacle - allows for the connection of multiple Solar Stiks™
“EXPANDER PAK” Inter-connector Port - allows for the connection of 12VDC or 24VDC Batteries
“LOAD” Inter-Connector Port - allows for the connection of a DC Load, Converter, Bus, or an additional Power Hub
Meters:
Three bright LED meters provide instant access to critical system information, including Charging Amps, Load Amps, and Battery State of Charge (Voltage).
Fan-assisted Brow Venting:
Solar Stik’s™ new fan-assisted Brow Vent allows the Hub to aspirate heat generated by the internal components through the case exterior with the case lid closed. The unique design of the vent allows outstanding air flow between the upper and lower chambers of the Power Hub, and mitigates the risk of water or particulate entry into the case. The internal cooling fan ensures that excessive heat generated by the Charge Control when protecting the batteries is discharged from the Hub, protecting the internal components from degeneration.
Solar Leash Required:
Solar Leashes are available in varying lengths and sizes to meet the application requirement. The operator can choose between the following leash lengths:
15’ / 30’ / 50’ / 100’
Expandable:
If the Power Hub is used in an application where more power sources are available, several methods of “expansion” are available. Multiple Power Hubs can be “daisy chained” into the Power Pak(s) or Battery System.
Portable / D.O.T. Approvals:
D.O.T approved for Air, Sea & Land transport. Carries like a Briefcase.
Construction:
Ruggedized for severe environmental conditions. The Power Hub can handle severe impacts as well as extreme operating temperatures.
Field Serviceable:
Innovative in design, no routine maintenance is required on the Power Hub.
