Overview:

The Flagship of our 24VDC Mil-Series Power Paks!

The Mil-Series Power Pak 1000 allows the Solar Stik™ to operate as a stand-alone power generator in any application where a portable gasoline generator would be used.  It is a highly mobile and functional platform that provides 24V DC, 12V DC and 120V AC power (through an inverter) for a wide variety of applications specific to the military, EOC, and other government applications.

 

Operation:

“Plug & Play” operation. Power is available from case whether open and/or closed.  The Power Pak stores up to 1.0 kW-h of energy and provides power through multiple connection points.

Single 12V DC Cigarette Lighter Adapter (CLA) receptacle located on the faceplate provides a convenient connection point for easy 12 Volt access (150W maximum).  

24V DC Power can be accessed from interior-mounted Post Terminals and/or from the case exterior using the Inter-connector ports (Omni-cables required) or from a programmable 24V DC Auxiliary Circuit that has a Cannon connection on the exterior of the Pak (custom cable required).  

AC Power is available through the unit’s Exeltech 125W Pure Sine Wave Inverter.

MPPT Controls & LCD

The Power Pak employs a SolarBoost™ MPPT charge control that processes up to 15A (24VDC) of incoming PhotoVoltaic (PV) power.

“User friendly” controls including a bright crisp backlit Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) with plain English language text and three simple front panel keys. The menu system is extremely intuitive and easy to use and provides a highly accurate calculation of battery State of Charge (SOC), compensates for a variety of factors including charge/discharge current, battery size, type, temperature and how the battery was brought back to full charge. It even learns from past battery behavior to continuously improve accuracy!

NEW exclusive LED battery “SOC Meter” allows for quick access to battery status with the touch of a finger.  Bright color LED indicators range from RED / YELLOW / GREEN in accordance with battery Voltage. 

Operate all day from Solar Stik™ generated energy and all night from the Power Pak’s 1 kW-h energy reserve.  

The Power Pak provides an open architecture that allows recharging using conventional methods, enabling greater mobility and versatility in the field. This is a critical feature as it allows the Power Pak to operate independently of the Solar Stik™ System when conditions warrant.  

    BATTERY-ONLY MODE:  The Power Pak can also be used as an independent power supply. Power is available from the Pak even when no charging source is connected.

    GENERATOR MODE: If a charging source is available (such as a Solar Stik™, Flexible Solar Panels, Wind, Vehicle, or any other 24V DC charging source), the Power Pak can simultaneously be charged and provide power to connected appliances.

“Remote Monitoring Kit” (RMK) Ready

The Power Pak is pre-wired with a network circuit that allows the operator to install a Universal Communication Module (UCM).  The UCM is installed to the Power Pak control and establishes communications through internet protocols, allowing the operator full access to the DC circuit’s programming and controls from anywhere there is an internet connection.  

The Power Pak has an external weatherproof ethernet port for connection of a modem-device (such as a satcom system), or the UCM can be connected to the internet using a wireless access device (such as a cell phone data modem).   See more about the RMK by clicking here.

Expandable:

If the Power Pak is used in an application where more power is required, capacity can be increased using “Plug & Play” connections to add Expander Paks (additional battery capacity) or “jump” in extra batteries using accessory cables (included).

Multiple Solar Stiks™ can also be “daisy chained” together to supply the Power Pak(s).  The Mil-Series Power Pak 1000 can process up to 15A (360W) of incoming PV Power, allowing the operator to scale the entire system in accordance with the requirement.

D.O.T approved for Air, Sea & Land transport. Extending Aluminum Handle and Heavy Duty Wheels, easily transports by one person.

Construction:

Ruggedized for severe environmental conditions. The Mil-Series Power Pak 1000 can handle repeated severe impacts as well as extreme operating temperatures.

Field Serviceable:

Innovative in design, no routine maintenance is required on the Mil-Series Power Pak 1000. 

NEW - All Power Paks now have exclusive LED battery “Cycle” counters for easy access to battery cycle-count information.  The Cycle meter allows for battery replacement at pre-determined intervals, ensuring continuity of operation and less battery failures in critical applications.

The Pak is “field serviceable” using simple tools.  Batteries can be easily and quickly replaced at the end of their service life.
