    Small Systems

    Light-duty systems or solar power generators support loads typically under 375 W continuous. Small power loads—like charging batteries in personal electronics or handheld radios—can easily be supported by a light-duty system using power generation components and energy storage with power mangers. The energy storage capacity needed by a light-duty system is determined by how much power the load consumes and how long it requires power. Typically, light-duty systems use solar photovoltaic (PV) as a power generation source and can be charged when connected to grid power.
